| ChristOPher Bolter PERFORMANCE RIDER As of 1/1/08 The following rider is requested for the successful production and performance of the Magic of Christopher Bolter Comedy Magic Show. Any changes or inabilities of this rider must be approved and signed by Christopher Bolter and the client before the start of the actual performance. 1. LOAD IN AND SCHEDULE: Christopher Bolter will arrive at least 2 or more hours ahead of the scheduled performance time. The performance space must be available for use and load in at this time. All required loading and parking instructions will be provided from the client. Chris needs a minimum of one hour to set up and break down his show. During this time, no one is allowed in the performance area. Sound Check: 1 hr before doors open Show Time: Beginning of show may be delayed up to 10 minutes. Length of Performance: approx. 1 Hour Load-Out Time: will be complete by 30 minutes after end of show 2. PROMOTION/BILLING: Venue/Client may use official Christopher Bolter press materials including posters, banners, postcards and others. Available from www.chrisboltermagic.com or their own posters, provided that they adhere to the following guidelines. These guidelines also apply to ANY AND ALL promotion used to describe Chris’ performance including banners & events calendars (including online listings): A. Chris Bolter should be billed as a “Comedian & Magician and/or Mentalist.” Chris should NOT be billed as only a “Magician” or “Comedian ” or “Mentalist” Client/Venue should bill Chris Bolter as “Magician and Mentalist” or “Comedy Magician and Mentalist” B. The by-line “Chris Is In Your Head!“ may be used if desired. 3. STAGE AND PERFORMANCE AREA: Christopher Bolter’s show requires a minimum of 6’ deep x 10’ wide. If possible, it is recommended that the performance space be raised at least 12” for optimum viewing capabilities. The space must be available for use when Chris arrives. If the stage area is higher than 1 foot off the ground, it is recommended that a set of stairs are available for audience members who may come on stage. 3B. BACKDROP/ CURTAIN/ LIGHTING: Chris Bolter does not require a backdrop for his show, although if one is present there will be no objection. The back of the performance space may not contain any windows, mirrors or reflective surfaces. Lighting is not required for Chris’ show and none will be used, other than the house lights with normal dimming functions. If you would like to increase the production value of Chris’ show professional lighting may be used at Chris’ discretion. 4. INTRODUCTION: Chris will supply a short written introduction to be read before the start of the show. He will also supply background music for one half hour prior to the start of the performance. No other entertainment may take place during Chris’ performance. (including house music or televisions) 5. SEATING. Seats may be arranged to best suit your event. Seats cannot, however, extend forward past the front edge of the stage or behind the stage. Show is best viewed if front row of seating begins 3’-4’from front of stage and extend no more than 15’ from the sides of the stage. 6. GUEST: Chris will be allowed up to 5 guests to attend the show. 7. SHOW SUPPLIES: The following supplies are needed at Chris’ time of arrival (about 2 hours prior to the show start) - 1 table (30”x60” is fine) - 2 backed chairs - 1 medium sized waste basket - 2 bottles of water 8. SOUND/PA: Chris will provide a sound system is necessary. If room exceeds 500 people in audience. Client may be responsible to provide an adequate PA system.
